Dream

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. The weather here in Nova Scotia has been so nice it's hard to believe that fall is just around the corner. I haven't made many cards recently but I do want to share with you a plaque that I made using the TH distress stains. I'm in love with them. The wooden plaque I picked up at the dollar store and covered with vintage photo DS--it goes on so smooth and even.I'll be using it on other projects for sure. The flowers were made with my Cricut accent essential cartridge and sponged with DI's and shaped. I stamped TH flourish with black acrylic paint as well as the sentiment. The bird cage was cut out of grunge paper using TH bird cage die and sponged with DI and embossed with distress EP in a few areas to give a rustic look .TH charms were added to the bottom of the cage. This was a fun project to make and I've added it to my craft room wall.
Hope you like it too.

Design a life you love

Just wanted to share a canvas I did for my sister's Birthday recently . I used the Kaisercraft DP from the After Five Collection. Love these papers so I stocked up on them from FargoCat Shops. The flower was made from brown paper bag and misted with my own recipe of Glimmer mist (bronze perfect pearls, vintage photo DI reinker and water).I used one of the Cheery Lynn doily dies for the doily.
TH's dies for the bird cage and flourish as well as the flower. Lace ,buttons, pearls, and metal embellies were all from my stash.

Joan's Garden Challenge

http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif

Well it's been so long since I've made anything and posted here on my blog I thought today would be a good day to start after visiting Joan's Garden blog and seeing all the beautiful cards . She has a special guest this week and the challenge is to follow the techniques she used on her card . So here's what I came up with using the tech. of stamping on pattern paper adding some glitter and distress inks as well as making a flower .I used the 6x6 pad of Prima Fairy Flora to stamp my image on and added the glitter to the flowers with a 2way glue pen.The pearls are made with the viva decor pen. Also entering this card in ahttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif challenge over at Fashionable Stamping Challenge--Ribbon or Lace and Cropstop Challenge #34 Anything Goes.

SSS&S a flourish

Sorry I haven't been a very good blogger lately just have been busy with other thing now that summer has finely arrived. So much to do and of course never enough time to get it all done. Today it's raining so I thought I'd share a card I did recently and enter it in a few challenges. I purchased some of the crinoline from Linda Coughlin over at The Funkie Junkie's Etsy shop so I had to make a flower for my card. The doily is one of the CheeryLynn dies Italian lace . Deborah over at Fargotcat Shops has them in her store ,they are just beautiful.I used the Spellbinders die Foliage to make the leaves also purchased at Fargocat Shop.Other supplies used MS butterfly punch,EK success edge punch,TH flouish die,CB folders, swiss dots and a new one which came with my new CB machine (sorry there wasn't a name on it )but it's so pretty for BGs. I used the new Viva Decor to make my pearls --Fargocat shops also carries these in several colors.
For my flower I followed the tutorial by Linda over at The Funkie Junkie mine isn't quite as pretty as Linda's but I loved playing with the crinoline.

PB All Sorts June challenge,

I've been haven't post for a week now so I thought I'd share with you a card that I'm going to enter in the Penny Black all Sorts challenge for June "Your my favorite " and this one of my favorite stamps to date. I just love the PB stamps . http://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gif
I stamped the PB butterfly suite stamp with versafine black onyx embossed with clear EP and colored with copic markers. The tiny butterflies were stamped again and cut out and then popped up. I then ran it thought a CB embossing folder scroll works. Stickles were added for sparkle.

GM #4 Textured Fades and Distress

Well another week has almost gone by and we are in week 4 of the Grungy Monday challenges over at StudioL3. This week Linda has challenged us to use Tim's Textured fades and distressing. Here's a tag I did . I inked the tag first with various colors of DI then embossed it with the Textured Fade Cracked, then sponged over the raised areas with DI . The Umbella man was stamped and cut out (since I don't have the new die yet) and then poped up for a #D effect. The flower was made with Tim's tattered floral die and misted with homemade glimmer mist (peeled paint, shabby shutters, forever green perfect pearls and water). I love how it turned out.

I'm also entering this in SSS and Show some Tim's Techniques
