JRS Friday Challenge 119--Get Krafty #2

Since I had some pieces left laying on my desk I thought I'd make another card . For this one I thought that Tim's bare branch tree should meet JRS Musical Notes Labels 20. The tree was cut with corrugated cardboard and sponged with picket fence distress stain . I  stamped and embossed the birds colored with DI Iced Spruce and then cut out freehand .The sentiment was stamped and embossed with Egyptian gold EP . This was a fun card to make .

Just Rite Friday Challenge #118--Behind the Mask

Well it's time for another great challenge over at Just Rite Stamps again . This time we are to use Masking as a technique. This is what I came up with for the challenge .I stamped the verse first on a peice of white c/s then stamped it again to use as my mask ( I wanted to create a look of the verse in the center of the bouquet). I then stamped the flowers over the verse  and cut it out using the spellbinders Lacy circles die .  I then made another mask of the flowers and used to cover the image while I sponged with Tumbled Glass DI to give the image some depth. The image was the layered on English Tea Doily by CLD. The butterfly I stamped twice cut out freehand and layered. Flowers were colored with Copic Markers and Glossy Accents was applied to the flowers .To finish my card I used:
Pattern paper by Crate, Bazzille Shimmer c/s ,co-ordinations c/s
Stamps: Just Rite Stamps Black Eyed Susan Vintage Labels 5
CLD dies Lace Corners B165, English Tea Doily DL101, Spellbinders Lacy Circles, MS trellis punch, May Arts ribbon,
Copic makers, Glossey Accents, pearls and ribbon embellishment from my stash.

Tim's 12 Tags 2014 --April

Well another month has gone by and it's time to do my tag for April following Tim's tech. Again I didn't have some of the items that Tim used so had to improvise . Here's what I came up with . For my edge I used my Cricut cartridge Art Philisophy from CTMH and cut it out of Grungeboard . Flowers were made from papers from one of Tim's Paper pads with the TH Tattered Pinecone die  . I really love how they turned out . Seam Binding ribbon was inked with a mist I made from Dried Marigold . The metal tag was inked with Broken China Distress paint and then wiped off . If you want to see Tim's tag and take part in this month's challenge you can see it HERE.
