Compendium of Curiosities Challenge #21

I spent a few hours in my craft room today finishing off a few projects that I had started one of which is a tag I made for the challenge over at Studio L3  CC#12 using Rock Candy Dry Glitter. I had purchase a jar quite some time ago but seldom use it so I thought this would be a perfect time . The challenge is taken from Tim's book Compendium of Curiosities 3 page 55. We are not allowed to give in detail what the technique is . I decided to do another Valentine tag since it's just around the corner. I sponged a Manilia tag with Antique Linen DI and then Victoria Velvet and a little Fired Brick on the edges followed by Tea Dye for a distressed look. I stamped Tim's large flourish in Fired Brick and then followed the tech. on page 55. I really love how it sparkles. I did the same for the cherub which was stamped on red c/s and fussy cut (I ordered this die and am waiting for it to arrive )To  finish mytag I added a piece of cheesecloth(that was laying on my table) behind the heart then layered the love ticket on the heart. The sentiment is from a TH stamp set . The arrow is one of Tim's stickers that I painted gold with gold dabber paint. I also painted the heart the same way.

I'm entering this in the following challenges:

Hi Marilyn!! I'm glad to see you joining us on this challenge. You did a beautiful job of stamping and embossing Tim's large fabulous flourish on your background of your tag. I love your Valentine theme here and so many traditional Valentine things used to create such a lovely tag. I really like the die cut hearts border across the bottom, too. Thanks for sharing your tag with us at CC3C. <3 Candy

Hi there Marilyn: Super tag for the CCC3. The rock candy technique on the stamped flourish really makes for such a pretty background. I can't wait to get a new supply to try it with that stamp. I like the cheesecloth behind the heart and the scalloped border too.
