We are having a wicked northeaster snow storm here today so I figured what a great day to spend in my favorite room playing . Going through some of my paper stash I came across some beautiful Basic Grey pattern paper from the Konnichiwa Collection that I've had for ages and wouldn't use so I decided to make a card for the challenge over at Just Rite Stamps . I love following a sketch so here's what I came up with . I used the pattern paper to make my flowers with TH tattered flower strip really please with how they turned out .

Just Rite Friday Challenge #116 CAS
Just wanted to share a second card I made for this weeks challenge over at JRS. I used the stamped set Black Eyed Susan Vintage Labels Five again . This is such a wonderful stamp set and can be used for almost any occasion. Since I don't own the Spellbinder dies that coordinate with these stamps I stamped and cut out the frame freehand then attached it to a doily which just happened to be laying on my desk ( the doily is CLD Nautical Wheel). The butterfly was also stamped and colored with copic markers and cut out freehand. I added some fake stitching around the edge of the pattern paper and stamped decorative corners in gold in each corner .To finish my card I punched a border on a strip of white c/s and added some Washi tape . I really like how the Washi tape made the border pop . I placed the doily a little above the top edge of the card . This was a fun and easy card to make .

Just Rite Friday Challenge #116 CAS
Well this was sure a challenge for me to make a Clean and Simple card , usually I love to layer and add embellishments on my cards . This is what I finally came up with for this weeks challenge over at Just Rite Stamps Friday Challenge. I used TH Damask embossing folder and my new embossing Diffuser plate to make the design around the image . The image and sentiment is from Just Rite Stamps Blacked Eyed Susan Vintage Labels Five set which was inked with Onyx Versafine ink. The flowers were colored with copic markers and a little glossy accents to the center of the flowers. To finish my card I added some May Arts Organiza ribbon.

Mixed Media Plaque
Just wanted to share a little mixed media project I made recently with a wooden plaque that a friend had given me some time ago and had said "Anxious to see what you'll do with this " . I just purchased some of Tim's new Distressed Paints so wanted to tried them out along with the Wendy Vecchi "s Embossing Pastes. Flowers were made from grunge paper and Tim's Tattered Floral Die then colored with distress stains .I used the Translucent embossing paste for the script stencil and Modeling paste for the honeycomb. The Bicycle is a memory box die . The butterfly I had made sometime ago following one of Andrea Walford's tutorials .

Tim's Tag 2014 (March)
Just popping on here to post my tag I made for this months tag over at Tim's Tags for 2014. This month the tech . was focused on smudging . I'm not going into the details since you can fine it HERE . Can't say this is one of my favorite techniques but I'm happy with the result. I didn't have a spritzer so just sponged over the burlap stencil.
