Hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful Friday I just wanted to stop in to post another one of my Valentine cards that I finished today . The card base is red and I used my Scallop Spellbinder dies to make the edge, then continued with the scalloped edge on the white and pattern paper. I dry embossed the pattern paper with EF Hearts. Other supplies used :MB Heart Ensemble,Spellbinders classic scallop hearts, Tim Holtz love struck stamp which I stamp in Fired Brick DI ,embossed with clear EP and fussey cut out (since I don't have the die) To finish off my card I added some tiny rhinestone hearts to the white scallop edge.
This must be my lucky day I won twice on this awesome blog hop by Quietfire . Maybe I should run out and buy a lotto ticket . Thanks to all the DT for all their hard work and inspiration . Now looking forward to owning my first Quietfire stamp .
Now that Valentine's day is just around the corner there's a lot of challenges going on in blog land focusing on hearts. I took my inspiration for this card from Linda Coughlin on The Funkie Junkie blog. I sprayed a piece of white cardstock with Poison Red Dylusions ink ,dried with heat tool then applied Gold dabber paint to my TH flourish stamp and stamped randomly . I stamped Love definition from Tim Holtz's Love Struck set in black Archival ink and sponged the edges with pumice stone DI. The To My Valentine was stamped with Gold dabber paint on black c/s fussy cut and layered on gold paper then fussy cut again.I sprinkled some gold/white Frantage and embossed with heat tool. The gold heart is a Cherry Lynn Design die cut from gold paper. I added a red glitter heart to the center .I curled the corners slightly and distressed the edges before attaching it to the card base . I wanted some contrast so I stamped a script background in Pumice stone DI and then stamped LOVE in Fired Brick DI randomly . The gold heart was hung with ribbon and added a Love charm .
I'm entering this card in the following challenges:
Well we're in a deep freeze here in Nova Scotia this past week and big switch from the mild temps. we had over Christmas with lots of rain .Nice to see a little snow but not liking the cold . Yesterday I Spent some time in my craft room and decided that i would try to do Tim's 12 tags for 2015. Last year I started but only completed 5 of them . Hoping to do better this year and complete them all. Here's my tag for January . I didn't have all of the products that Tim used so improvised with reinkers for the spray and cut glass for the gold glitter on the letters. Chit-chat words were placed on the tag and then covered with Glue n Seal. The numbers were cut out of cardboard twice and layered then painted with black dabber paint and when dry painted covered with embossing paste .I wanted a bit of sparkle so cut some stars and circle from red glitter c/s and added a metal star to the center of the circle. The ribbon was spray with vintage photo reinker diluted with water and dry with my heat tool . I would have like for more of the blue tone to show but overall I like how it turned out in the end.
This is just a quick post tonight , I just wanted to share a card I made for the Coffee Lovers Blog Hop going on over at Amy Tsuruta's Design Blog . There's some awesome prizes to be given away stop by and have a look . Just follow the link at the end of this post.
Rosemarie over at Rose's World was giving away a couple of prizes celebrating her StampinUp Anniversary . I was lucky enough to win a set of stamps. Thanks Rosemarie for picking my name . Maybe I should buy a lotto ticket !!!!
Thought I'd share another card I make to add to my pile . The stamp is one of the LaBlanche stamps that I picked up a few years ago . I stamped it on glossy c/s with Versafine ink and colored with Copic markers then sponged around the image with Iced spruce DI. Red stickles were added to the holly berries . Other supplies used were :
Pattern Paper by Basic Grey, Spellbinders Floral Ovals, and Hero Arts stamp and die framelits snowman #657781.
I've been stuck on white cards this week or so and here's another one I made recently using my new pine needle die I got from Impression Obsession just love how easy and clean they cut . Other supplies used : TH's Poinsettia die, Sizzix Winter Botancial EP , Cheery Lynn Design Holly Branch die and Merry Christmas die. Silver paper and glitter paper from Dollarama. I added Viva pen silver to the center of the poinsettia and TH clear glitter to the embossed flower.
I picked up this stamp at the Cutting Garden last year and didn't get a chance to use it . Today I pulled it out and created this card with it . I love working with the Stampsmith photo stamps . got all my tips for a great stamper Kim Prince many years ago . The image was stamped with Ancient Page Archival ink on glossy cardstock . The trick is to let the stamp sit and relax before removing it this gives the ink time to adhere to the glossy c/s. I then trimmed and framed it with TH's ornamental frame . I ran the background paper through TH snowflake embossing folder and then sanded lightly to highlight the snowflakes a bit. Memory Box Frostyville border was used for the bottom of the card.
