ccc#24 Rock Candy Distress Stickles

Good morning my time is flying by only another couple of days and I'll be traveling to be with my sons and grandsons for the holidays . It will be so exciting but busy I'm sure . I saw some canvases done by Sonia Thomason over at My Minds Eye blog I thought they were so beautiful and would make a nice surprise for to take with me .They are so easy to make. There's lots and lots of rock candy stickles all around the perimeter of the canvas so I think it'll be okay for the challenge over at StudioL3 this week which was taken from page 47 . I just love my stickles they sure add to any project.

Christmas List Week 5

Well it's December and only another few weeks to get your wish list in to Deborah over at Fargo Cat Shops so she can make sure she can fill you requests. Today I thought I'd tell you all about another one of my favorite things --Tim Holtz's Fades . If you haven't tried them you really should . Fargo Cat Shops has a good selection of Tim's newest ones and if there's a different one that you would like just let Deborah know and she will order it for you .But make sure you do it soon so you'll have it for Christmas.

These fades distress to impress. They easily emboss so that select areas of the image appears perfectly faded and distressed. Approximate design size is 4 1/2 x5 1/2. they are compatible with most die cutting or embossing machines. If you check one of my posts Double Distress you'll see how I've used the snowflake embossing folder in the background.
They come in a package of 2 and sells for $10.00 over at Fargo Cat Shops
So hop on over and check them out . Also pop over to Yvonne's blog to see what she's up to this week

Week 4 Wish List

I haven't posted much this week ,my camera quit on me and I've had to order a new one.

How's everyone doing with their Christmas List hope it's growing . Deborah over at Fargo Cat Shops is so busy trying to make sure she has everything to fill your list.

Today I want to share with you all another of my favorites which I love and cannot do without . They are the Tim Holtz's scissors made by i-tonic. Can you fall in love with a pair of scissors well I have and I'm sure you will too once you try them.

A few features about them
1. They have large Kushgrip handles which makes them comfortable for both right and left handers.

2. Non-stick serrated blades which makes them excellent for cutting adhesive, sheet rubber, vinyl and just about any other type of material.

3. Non-stick coating minimizes adhesive build up and makes them resistant to rust and corrosion.
4. Blades have fine tips for precision cutting.

5. Comes with plastic cap to protect blade and safety . This cap snaps in place and won't fall off.

Now all you have to do is contact Deborah over at Fargo Cat Shops and have her add them to your list .

Thanks for stopping by and hope you all have a great weekend. And don't forget to visit Yvonne over at Ink-spirations to see what's on her list this week .

Christmas List week 3 --Alcohol Inks.

Good morning my how the weeks are flying by seems like I just finished posting last weeks and now it's time again. Today I'd like to share with you some information about those wonderful ALCOHOL INKS which I love to play with from time to time.

Alcohol Inks are acid free, fade resistant, fast drying and specially formulated to create a colorful polished stone effect.

Alcohol inks can be used on glossy cardstock, metal, shrink plastic, glass and other slick surfaces.
They come in many colors --48 individual colors or 16- 3 color kits.

You will need the Alcohol Blending Solution to use with your Alcohol Inks ,this is used to lighten colors and move colors around on glossy cardstock. It is also used to clean inks from non-porous surfaces.

Alcohol Inks are applied to paper and other surfaces using the Alcohol Ink Applicator which is a piece of felt and the blending tool .

There is also a Alcohol Ink Fillable Pen which is used for coloring or journaling .

Deborah over at Fargocat Shops has a wonderful supply of these inks in stock for just $3.50 each so why not stock up on them and create some beautiful projects over the holidays.

Check out Yvonneto see what she's been up to this week.
Have a great weekend and if you're out and about drop in and say hi to Deborah at the Steeltown Christmas Fair in Trenton on Saturday she'd love to see you .

Christmas List item #2

I know ,I know I'm late in getting this posted but I was at the Exhbition Park Craft show with Deborah owner of FargoCat Shops and just got home late last night .

This week I'd like to share with you another of my favorite things --Tim Holtz's stamp binder. This binder has so many uses and possibilites: store your unmounted stamps, masks, stencils, stickers, flowers or any other small item in the included pockets. The binder is made of faux leather, has an inside pouch to hold your acrylic blocks and has a zipper closure which makes sure that nothing falls out . The binder comes with 3 unmounted stamp refill pockets and additional pockets are sold separately. This binder is so easy to take with you when going to crops or workshops.

Christmas List

Good morning bloggers has anyone started their Christmas List yet? If not you'd better get started since there's only 51 more days and you don't want to be disappointed on Christmas morning.

Deborah over at Fargo Cat Shops will be busy over the next 6 weeks setting aside those special items that you would like to open on Christmas morning.

All you have to do is let your family and friends know what those items are and then have them contact Deborah at Fargo Cat Shops by emailing her or calling her at 902 923-2835. It's as simple as that .

Now my part is on every Friday for the next 6 weeks I'll be posting some of my favorite things that I love to use and why I like them so much hoping that this will help you with your list .

Today I've chosen Acrylic Paint Dabbers by Ranger. They come in many colors but my favorite for this time of the year is :

Gold, Silver, Snow cap and Pearl.

I love that the Dabbers are so easy to use and no mess to clean up .
Easy to take with you when going to a crop or workshop.
It's best to store them in an upside down position so that the paint stays at the tip and is ready to use. Just give the bottle a shake remove the cap and press onto your craft sheet to start the flow.
These little paint dabbers are perfect for edging around a card or tag ,stamping ,painting or altering any of your projects.

Fargo Cat Shops has the Gold, Silver, Snow cap and Pearl in stock now for just $5.00 and would make a great little stocking stuffer or add to a gift bag with other crafting items.

Hope this will help you with your list .

See you next Friday and have a great weekend

CCC#12 Chipped Enamel

I was browsing the web today and came across this blog that is doing challenges from TH book Compendium of Curiosities so I thought I'd give it a try . This week the challenge is found on page #44 chipped enamel --hadn't done this technique before but I'm happy with how it turned out . Not suppose to give details (one of the rules). DP is from TH Lost &Found pad. Image is a freebie art from Ladybug and friends.com.

A Rose

I made this card for a friend who's birthday is coming up soon . The flower was made from the spellbinders blossom die. I love making them and each one is a little different. For this one I sponged with distressed inks and them spritzed with perfect pearls to give it a little shimmer. The leaves are the ribbon leaves I won from a blog hop over at notimetostamp a few months ago . Lace is from the $ store .

Hope you're having a great day and thanks for looking
