Let it Snow

This is a card I did for the challenge over at Joan's Garden this week . It sure tested my patience, I think I spoiled 4 pieces of glossy c/s before I was happy with one. The challenge was to follow Selma's tech--snowy background ,use trees , a flourish and combination of colors. I used tumbled glass and faded jeans DI to create my BG by sponging on the tumbled glass first then stamped my images with Versamark dried with heat tool then sponged with faded jeans DI. I then went over the whole area with an embossing buddy before embossing the large tree with white embossing powder after I spritzed with a fine mist of water for a snowy effect. This was a great tech but I did have a little trouble with the misting (guess I was a little too heavy at first ). Stamps were from TH's mini holidays2 and SU lovely as a tree. The flourish is TH elegant flourishes which I cut and wrapped around the circle. Added some SU striped ribbon and snowflakes to complete my card. Entering this in

Wow Marilyn! I love the bright touch of red in the scallop and the red striped ribbon. Really catches your eye.
Some techniques can be frustrating to do.... you made a wonderful card by persisting with it.

Gorgeous card Marilyn! Thanks for popping by my blog and leaving sweet comments. The outside edge punch on the white Lo is Wild Flowers by Martha Stewart...the smaller one around the photomat is also Martha Stewart ...its called Vintage floral. Hugs, Michelle
