Tim's 12 tags of 2012 --March

I finally finished my tag for March over the weekend . I had to change a few things since I didn't have all of the products that Tim used so here's my version . First I inked the tag all over with Antique Linen DI then ran it through my machine with the distressed stripes CB embossing folder which I inked with Frayed Burlap DI ,I then went over the raised areas with walnut stain DI ,distress the edges with my distress tool and sponged the edges with walnut stain DI . I like how it turned out . I had some branch trees in my stash that I had cut from corrugated cardboard which I thought would be nice to attach the butterflies to. The butterflies I stamped in Versamark on Grungepaper and attached to Sookwang tape and cut out ( I didn't have any of the wonder tape but this worked fine). The snippets were cut from Tim's Lost & Found paper pad and arranged in a mosaic pattern . Didn't have the cement EP that Tim used so I used lavender Distress EP on one of the butterflies and Green Pearl EP on the other one, then added glossy accents to the snippets . To complete my tag I had one of the metal flowers already painted in my stash which I added along with a ticket tag on one of the memo pins.

great idea to use the tree branch for the butterflies sit upon. Also like the fact you used two different coloured embossing powders so that each butterfly is different.
